The Iconic Healthcare Preceptorship Program provides high-quality clinical training for nurse practitioner students in primary care. Our mission is to cultivate a new generation of competent, patient-centered providers through direct mentorship and immersive practice. By bridging the gap between education and clinical excellence, we ensure that every learner is equipped to deliver the highest standard of care within our local Slidell community.
What the Program Includes
Our structured clinical rotation provides a comprehensive introduction to the complexities of primary care, ensuring students build a solid foundation for their careers.
- Clinical shadowing and supervised patient care in a primary care setting.
- Direct exposure to common primary care procedures and diagnostic techniques.
- One-on-one mentorship from an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
- In-depth focus on evidence-based practice and thorough clinical documentation.
Work & Clinical Schedule

The clinic is open 8:30am-5:30pm Mon-Wed with a 1 hour break from 12 PM to 1 PM.

We use an online sign up platform to schedule clinical days.

The way Victoria Green FNP-C teaches is a big proponent of collaboration, which is why she has multiple students. This is so that you all can collaborate together and learn from each other.

Everyone comes from different backgrounds, so use that to your advantage!

Victoria Green FNP-C likes to have at least two students each day in the office.

You will learn how to see patients from start to finish.

You will follow either a senior student or Victoria Green FNP-C for the first week to learn the flow of the office and the EMR system.

You will learn how to chart a complete note on a patient within the first 3 week of clinical.
Who Should Apply
The Iconic Healthcare Preceptorship Program is designed for dedicated learners eager to refine their skills in clinical primary care. We seek highly motivated individuals who demonstrate a deep commitment to excellence in patient-centered service and clinical documentation.
- Enrollment in an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current immunizations and all school-required clinical clearances
- A steadfast commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care
Honorarium Payment

Clinical is $1000 per session, up to 180 hours. Any additional hours will be prorated.

A payment link will be sent to your email to collect payment.

If you are approved for multiple sessions, you will get more than one invoice.

You must pay half upon confirmation and acceptance of clinical rotation.

The second half is due at the start of your clinical rotation.
